Shipping & frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about how your curated pieces get from our brand partners to your door.

A quick note on timing

Once a purchase is made, please allow 7 to 14 business days for tracking information to become available, and 4 to 6 weeks for furniture delivery. We ship directly from our partners to keep prices honest, good rooms are worth the wait.

When will I receive tracking for my order?
Please allow 7 to 14 business days after your purchase for tracking information to become available. Every piece is sourced and prepared to order, so there is a short window between checkout and carrier pickup. As soon as your order ships, your tracking number is emailed to you automatically.
How long does delivery take?
Most furniture arrives within 4 to 6 weeks of your order date. Smaller accents (lamps, mirrors, textiles, wall art) often arrive sooner. Because each piece is curated and shipped from our brand partners, delivery times vary slightly by item and destination.
Why does furniture take 4 to 6 weeks?
The Dana curates pieces from big brands and has them shipped directly to you, this is how we take the guesswork out of designing your rooms without showroom markups. Made-to-order and freight-shipped furniture simply moves on a longer timeline than parcel shipping, and we think the wait is worth it.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your pieces and your delivery address. Oversized furniture ships via freight carriers, which is reflected in the rate you see before you pay, no surprise fees after.
Will my order arrive in one shipment?
Not always. If you order several pieces, they may ship separately from different partners and arrive on different days. You'll receive a tracking number for each shipment, so you can follow every piece to your door.
Do you ship to my area?
We currently ship within the contiguous United States. If you're in Alaska, Hawaii, or outside the US, reach out before ordering and we'll confirm whether delivery to your address is possible.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. Because each piece is sourced to order, we can usually modify or cancel within 48 hours of purchase. Once a piece has entered fulfillment with our partners, changes may no longer be possible.
What if my furniture arrives damaged?
Inspect your delivery on arrival and note any damage with the carrier. Then contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we'll arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you. Damage claims are always resolved, you're covered.
What is your return policy?
We offer 30-day returns. If a piece isn't right for your room, contact us within 30 days of delivery to start a return. Items must be in original condition and in their original packaging where possible.
Who pays for return shipping?
For smaller accents (lamps, mirrors, textiles, wall art), return shipping is straightforward and we'll provide a prepaid or discounted label where available. For oversized furniture, return freight is the customer's responsibility and may be deducted from your refund, freight carriers price by size and distance, so we'll always quote the exact cost before you commit to the return. If your item arrived damaged or defective, return shipping is always on us.
Can I return just one piece from a room bundle?
Yes. Bundles are simply a convenient way to buy several pieces together, each item is covered by the same individual 30-day return policy, so you can keep what you love and send back what you don't.
How will I know when my order arrives?
Freight carriers will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment for large furniture. Smaller items ship via standard parcel carriers and you'll receive tracking updates by email at every step.
Where do your pieces come from?
Every piece in The Dana is chosen by hand from established furniture and decor makers, then shipped directly from their warehouses to your door. We don't manufacture, we curate. That means no showroom overhead, no guesswork about what goes together, and rooms that are designed as a whole rather than assembled one impulse buy at a time.
Why buy through The Dana instead of shopping around?
You're paying for the edit. Each room look is built as a finished scheme, proportions, materials, and tones already resolved, so you can buy one look instead of spending weeks comparing sofas. Our pricing covers curation, sourcing, order management, and support through delivery and any damage claim.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The price on the product page is the current price. Where you see a crossed-out figure, that is the original list price of the piece before our markdown, we never show a strikethrough unless the savings are real. Shipping and tax are added at checkout based on your address, and nothing is charged after that.
How much does the full room look save me?
Each room look shows the combined price of every piece plus the total saved versus buying at original list prices. Adding the whole look also means the pieces ship as one curated order and are guaranteed to work together.
How do I care for upholstery and bouclé?
Vacuum upholstery weekly with a brush attachment and rotate cushions to keep them even. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, never rub, and avoid soaking the fabric. For bouclé, use a soft brush rather than a lint roller so the loops aren't pulled, and keep pieces out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
How do I care for wood, glass, and metal pieces?
Wipe wood with a slightly damp cloth and dry it right away; skip silicone or ammonia polishes and always use coasters and felt pads. Clean glass with a non-abrasive glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth rather than the surface. Dust brass and metal finishes with a dry microfiber cloth, abrasive cleaners will strip the finish.
How do I care for rugs and textiles?
Vacuum wool rugs regularly without a beater bar and rotate them twice a year for even wear. Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and protect the pile. Throws and pillow covers should be spot-cleaned or dry-cleaned unless the care label says otherwise.
Do pieces come with a warranty?
Each piece carries the manufacturer's standard warranty against defects. If something fails within that window, contact us with photos and your order number and we'll handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Still have a question? Reach out via the contact option in your order confirmation email and we'll get back to you within one business day.
